Best Overall Car of the Year
When it comes to cars built for modern families the Accord V6 is a standout, which is why it won the top gong in Drive's Car of the Year awards for 2008.
With an advanced cylinder deactivation system to save fuel by allowing the engine to run on three or four cylinder, the Accord V6 also has impressive space, performance, flexibility and value. Beating the locally made big six-cylinders at their own game, the Accord V6 excels when it comes to refinement and attention to detail.
The result will be controversial, especially with other highly fancied category winners to contend with - the Jaguar ZF, BMW 135i Coupe and Audi A3 Cabriolet head the field - but the Accord V6 is a deserving winner and a car that overwhemingly impressed the nine Car of the Year judges in 2008.
